The AYO Post is committed to providing intercultural and evidence-based information by disseminating truthful and impartial data to the youth of ASEAN member states and beyond. The organization aims to publish engaging and informative content that can overcome today’s media landscape changes, youth’s communication challenges, and prolific circulation of misinformation. By publishing evidence-based information still with high entertainment value, we aim to encourage youth to take action and participate in social change, one story at a time.
Our Story
The ASEAN Youth Organization Post (AYOPost) is a non-profit digital journalism platform for the ASEAN Youth by the ASEAN Youth.
Established in 2020, the AYOPost serves as the digital publication affiliate of the entire ASEAN Youth Organization (AYO).
Fueled by a passionate team of volunteers, the AYOPost aims to fight false information among the ASEAN Youth by providing an accessible platform for reliable news and evidence-based information.
With the increased consumption of social media content, the ASEAN Youth is at risk of exposure to false information every day.
Today’s youth is at constant risk of consuming misinformation and disinformation, which may evolve as a part of their culture. If not solved, we may end up having misinformed leaders in the near future.
This is where AYOPost takes the initiative: in providing reliable news and evidence-based information to the ASEAN Youth, providing worthwhile content with the same infotainment value as in-demand web content.
The AYO Post is an esteemed platform designed specifically for today’s youth, aiming to provide them with reliable news, engaging features, and insightful opinions. It is part of the ASEAN Youth Organization (AYO) as one of its Social Volunteerism Programs and was made to be a platform for news and current affairs catering to the youth of today.
Its goal is to create a global perspective by promoting awareness and understanding of the ASEAN Community through journalism, workshops, and other related academic fields.
OUR MISSION
OUR VISION
The AYO Post envisions a generation of learned ASEAN youth impervious to misinformation and disinformation. By establishing an informed ASEAN youth populace, we envisage a future generation of able leaders who will initiate sustainable positive change worldwide, creating a future-proof society.
